
Adolescents – As a mother of two teenagers and having previously worked in youth focused services and secondary school settings. Richelle has a particular interest in adolescents as they transition to adulthood. Having been a youth worker, Richelle has a solid understanding of the developmental challenges facing adolescents. She understands their experiences of social pressure and the increasing mental health challenges faced.

Children – Richelle can work with your child on emotional regulation, healthy friendship and relationships and the building blocks that are required for social and emotional wellbeing.
Richelle has experience working across a range of issues affecting children. Of note is her experience supporting families and children impacted by parental mental health issues (and other adversities). Richelle has also worked as a Licenced Presenter with an organisation specialising in developing friendship skills in primary school aged children.
A part of Richelle’s particular talents, she manages to connect quickly with children having been a children’s entertainer for 11 years, AKA Ricky Possum. She is a skilled puppeteer who can connect with children in a fun and interactive way. Richelle has combined her love of puppets with her counselling work to offer puppet play. Puppet play is a popular technique that helps children express their feelings, reenact anxious events, try out new and more adaptive behaviours, and overcome their inhibitions. This can assist children to be a part of their own change and development.
